Guarded Community

With my current work requirement, the fact that my sis is going to start a whole new life and the people that I am mixing with now, property is so much that rings at my ear. The community at my birth place is constantly searching for the best property to exchange the least amount of present dollar to the most of future dollars. KL is recognise to have one of the highest development rate in Malaysia, we have many to choose from to invest our family and money in. The question is, what is worth investing?

Ideas are populated to develop more and more lavish environment for homes. Other than providing a virtually wealthy lifestyle, protection and safety, is one thing that keeps us awake most of the nights, which is also included. Service apartment, high security condos and guarded community are some of the main ingredients of today's luxurious living constructions. If you have little knowledge about those that i have mention, i'll let the first two generates a story of their own. My topic is guarded community(please read title!!)

Guarded community is more like jail. Beautiful, relaxing and enjoyable jail. With the alarming rate of social ills booming from the media, it is hard to imagine anyone who could be less cautious of themselves let alone their family. Years ago, burglars and theft would steal and run. But now, they would shoot and steal or rape and chop with a blink of an eye. The situation is much vital compared to previous years and its growing wilder each minute. Therefore people are looking for beautiful homes with swimming pool and park cum with 5 feet wall surrounding the neighbourhood. Security is becoming more of a need in the coming generation. Why? That's because we're starting to lock ourselves up instead of putting those who have committed crime behind bars. The residents of guarded community are purchasing inconveniences. Lets say u wanna renovate ur house, first u need to apply for a letter at the management office a week ahead. Then the contractors are only to work at a certain time. If you are having a christmas party, you need to apply from the management, gv them all the number plates and i/c number of the guest. How tedious. No wonder connecting with people requires much effort.

My mom never used to let me play with my friends at the nearby parks for fear that i might not return. FYI, within the 5 km radius range, my place have more than 5 parks!! Common sense will forbid us to even walk out of the house what more to say about walking your dog(s). Each of us would rather grow potatoes on our couch that to unlock the doors to the street. My area do not have those cornwallis walls but the residents are forming night patrol and police huts are emerging everywhere now. But those huts only function in broad daylight. LOL. Since they sleep at night, they'll close some of the road accessible to the residential area. One night i was driving on my usual route, and they block one of the road with large oil drums. Thus causing me to take a longer way back home. And i was wondering, by taking such a long time to get home, meaning i have to stay on the road longer. Isn't is more vulnerable to bad luck?? Aiya, if wanna close the road, pls put someone there to open up for me to pass ma..Geez

Before, the bad guys are put to jail. Now, the good guys are to live in jails, and we seems to be pretty happy about that. :?
